In this symposium, industry experts will share ideas and show the steps necessary to lower upfront and whole life carbon emissions in new construction and major renovations. Speakers, including CLF Pittsburgh, will examine how owners are prioritizing embodied carbon, how materials manufacturers are planning to reach carbon neutrality, and what contractors should be reviewing while assembling a bid. Activities will support low carbon materials and alternative product selection, and the processes used by successful teams. It will introduce data tools available and engage participants in facilitated discussions around constructing lower embodied carbon projects.
